The Digital Dome @ IAIA is bringing currents 2012, the third annual Santa Fe international new media art festival, to the Institute of American Indian Arts campus June 22 – July 8. This citywide festival explores the role of technology and the diverse applications of new media arts, and includes exhibitions, multimedia performances, workshops and panel discussions. The Digital Dome @ IAIA will host several screenings, including a show about Chaco Canyon created by IAIA and UNM students at 5 p.m. July 6.

This is the second year that the Digital Dome @ IAIA will host the currents festival in partnership with Parallel Studios, El Museo Cultural de Santa Fe, Santa Fe University of Art and Design and others. This year will be an expanded show by seven artists from across the nation and Canada who created films or experimental art specially designed for the spherical-shaped Dome.
